The Trakehnerhof property consists of 312 acres with approximately 1.6 km of Skeena River front as the property boundary to the west and the Salmon River Road to the east. The property borders on crown land, has beautiful mountain views, game trails, and access to miles of wilderness hiking and exploring. There are three small lakes within hiking distance from the property. The bigger one, Collins Lake, is locally known for its excellent fishing.

There is a year-round creek running through the property, as well as numerous springs producing ample water for domestic and farm use. There are currently 250 acres of rich sandy- loam river bottom soil in production as hay fields and pastures.



The Trakehnerhof is situated at the shore lines of the Skeena River just north of Hazelton. The Hazeltons are in the Coast Mountains in the north-west of British Columbia; in a wide sunny valley where the Kispiox and the Bulkley join the mighty Skeena River. From the Trakehnerhofs 1.6 km of Skeena River  shore line right at the entrance of the Kispiox Valley you can watch the Salmon and Steelhead go by on their way to their spawning grounds. The ranch with it's breathtaking mountain views is adjacent to crown land with access to miles of wilderness hiking and exploring.



The ranch house is an upgraded single floor building totalling 3500 sq. ft. with six bedrooms, two having three piece en-suite bathrooms, two more bathrooms, one having a 6’ jetted bathtub and a western red cedar infrared sauna, a 16' x 16' kitchen/eating area, 23’ x 16’ living room, and a 20 x16 solarium. The home is heated by a modern hot water heating system fed by an outdoor wood furnace. When it’s too warm to run the furnace, there are two wood heaters to make cool evenings cozy.
The ranch house is currently run as a successful B&B with international clientele and fly fisherman and hunters.

There are several outbuildings: a work- machine shop, hay barn/stable etc. as well as a riding ring and fenced in corrals and pastures.
The Kispiox Valley is completely surrounded by mountains, the Babines to the east, the Kispiox Range to the west, the Hazeltons to the south, and the Skeena Mountains to the north. Warm air coming from the Pacific up the Skeena Valley in the south west and down the Nass/Kispiox Valley in the north west influences the area and creates a mild micro climate. This is creating longer growing periods and shorter, warmer winters.
The Kispiox Valley Music Festival and the Kispiox Rodeo are two events held annually and are attracting people throughout our region as well as visitors from all over the world.
There are many ranches and small organic farms spread throughout the valley without disturbing the pristine wilderness character of this area.



Der Trakehnerhof hat 312 acres (ca 125 ha) fruchtbaren Loesboden mit 1.6 km Skeena River Ufer als westliche Grenze. Im Osten grenzt das Grundstueck an 'Crownland' und hat direkten Zugang zu Wildpfaden durchzogene Waelder und endlose Trails. Drei kleine Seen sind sehr nahe und bekannt fuer ihre guten Forellen. Ein kleiner Bach fliesst durch das Grundstueck und mehrere Quellen liefern genug klares Bergwasser um Mensch und Tier zu versorgen. Es werden z.Zt. 250 acres (ca.100 ha) des fruchtbaren Bodens 'sandy-loam river bottom soil'  zur Heuproduktion und als Weideland genutzt.




Das Ranchhaus hat ca. 315 qm mit sechs Schlafzimmern, davon zwei mit eigenem Bad, ausserdem zwei weitere Badezimmer, eins davon mit einer extra grossen Whirlpool Badewanne und einer infrarot Sauna aus Zedar,  Die Wohnkueche ist  23 qm, das Wohnzimmer 33 qm und das Solarium 29 qm. Das Haus hat eine holzbetriebene Heisswasserheizung. und zwei Kaminoefen.
Neben der Pferdezucht betreibt der Trakehnerhof ein erfolgreiches B&B (Fruehstueckspension). Jedes Jahr kommen Gaeste aus aller Welt sowie Fliegenfischer und Jaeger.
Fuer das Trainieren der Pferde stehen ein Reitring und ein geschlossener 'Roundpen'  zur Verfuegung. Maschinenunterstand mit Werkstatt, Scheune mit Pferdeboxen und Heulager,  Holzwerkstatt und Lagerhalle, sowie Korale und eingezaeunte Weiden ergaenzen die Einrichtung.

Das Kispiox Valley ist  umgeben von Gebirgszuegen, die Babines im Osten, die Kispiox Range im Westen, die Hazeltons im Sueden and die Skeena Mountains im Norden. Durch das Skeena Valley im Suedwesten und das Nass/Kispiox Valley im Nordwesten stroemt warme Luft vom Pazific ein und beeinflusst das ganze Tal. Dadurch wird ein mildes  Microklima kreiert, welches laengere Wachstumsperioden mit kuerzeren, milderen Wintern verursacht.
Das Kispiox Valley Music Festival und das Kispiox Rodeo sind gut besuchte Veranstaltungen die Leute aus der ganzen Region sowie Besucher aus aller Welt anziehen.
Im Tal verstreut befinden sich viele Ranchen und kleine, biologische Farmen  ohne den wertvollen Wildnischaracter zu stoeren.



Der Trakehnerhof liegt am Ufer des Skeena Rivers 10 Minuten  noerdlich von Hazelton direkt am Eingang des Kispiox Valleys. Die Hazeltons befinden sich in den Coast Mountains im nordwesten von British Columbia; in einem weiten, sonnigen Tal wo der Kispiox und der Bulkley in den maechtigen Skeena River muenden. Vom Flussufer des Trakehnerhofs sieht man die Lachse und 'Steelhead' Forellen auf dem Weg zu den Leichgruenden vorbeiziehen. Die Ranch mit ihren atem-beraubenden Ausblick auf die umliegenden Gebirgszuege grenzt direkt an 'Crownland' und hat Zugang zu endlosen Trails in die Wildnis zum Wandern und Erkunden.
